ANNOUNCEMENTS. . .
Music Month ended with an Outdoor Worship Service/Hog Roast/Potluck Picnic
yesterday at Chautauqua Park. It was a wonderful day of worship, music,
food, games, and more music! Thank you to all who helped make the service &
potluck possible!
Dylan Evans is home recuperating from surgery on his broken arm. He, AND his
parents, are all doing well! We continue to thank God for Dylan and pray
for a speedy recovery!!
All ladies are invited to a baby shower for little Seth Reed on Sunday,
August 30, 1:00 p.m., Fellowship Hall. Please RSVP at the Welcome Center.
Mandy is registered at Wal-Mart and Target. Call Kasey Mitchell or Summar
Evans if you have questions.
Community-Wide Children's Christmas Show - Rehearsals, Thursdays, 6:00-7:00
p.m., Boss Community Center (221 W. 1st St.) beginning August 27. The
performance will be December 19 at 5:00 p.m. Auditions will be held on
September 10. Children must attend the first two rehearsals to audition;
roles will be announced the next week. Questions? Call 852-5074 or

Walk for Life 2009 - Saturday, September 12 - 8:30-10:00 a.m. - Thomas Park
- Wyoming - You may pick up pledge booklets at the Welcome Center and start
getting sponsors! Proceeds go 100% to the Pregnancy Resource Center in
Toulon.
The MUMS Bible study (Moms Uplifting Moms) is in need of a babysitter on
Mondays from 9:00-10:00 a.m., starting in September. MUMS meets here at FCC
and is led by Lynn Yarger. Please contact Lynn at 309-936-7819 if you can
help!
The [everywoman] Sunday School class is now meeting outside the church
office.
We would like to thank everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement
for our son Patrick, while he was serving in Afghnistan. He has safely
returned home. Please continue to pray for him as he makes the adjustment
back to civilian life. We know that God was watching over him and kept him

* Needed: 1st & 2nd Grade Sunday School teacher beginning in
September.
* Children will advance to new Sunday School classes on Sunday, August
30.
UB-1 STUDENT MINISTRY NEWS. . .
* August 24 - UB-325 resumes on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:00 p.m.
* August 30 - UB-1 Back to School Fall Kickoff at Windmont Park
* September 12 - Operation Fix Stuff
* October 17 - Six Flags St. Louis
* Several of our students need to raise money for the Passion
Conference in Atlanta, GA this coming January. If you have any jobs they
can do to earn money for this trip, please contact Bill at 309-262-8001.

**Keep the old cell phones and used ink cartridges coming for recycling
(green box in church office). Funds received goes to missions.
**Keep signing the troop cards at the Welcome Center. These cards are much
appreciated by our soldiers overseas.
** Please bring non-perishable food items, paper products, and toiletries to
the marked container in the Main Foyer for the Kewanee Food Pantry.
Donations are taken to the Food Pantry once a month.
